Psychologically grounded selling

Everyone sells.
The question
is how well.

The engineer sells a solution. The manager sells a decision. The department sells its budget. Almost nobody was ever trained for it.

psyselling is a psychologically grounded training programme for people who have to persuade at work.

Why psyselling

Selling is not a side activity.

Most organisations train product knowledge, process knowledge and CRM use. What happens inside a person who has to persuade someone is rarely trained at all.

And yet that is what decides the outcome of a conversation: your own motivation on a bad day, the ability to take a no without turning it into a verdict on yourself, the sense of what the other person is actually responding to — and the language to pick that up.

psyselling works at that level. Not with closing tricks and not with pressure, but with trainable psychological skills and concrete instruments for everyday use.

The method in detail

What you train

Seven skills.
All trainable.

01
Self-motivation

You build a drive that holds even when the numbers are not coming in, instead of being steered by quarterly pressure.

02
Goal setting

With SMARTIES+2 you formulate goals that actually direct your behaviour, rather than goals that merely read well in an appraisal.

03
Reading buying motives

With LAKWALD you capture, in a structured way, what your counterpart responds to — and what they do not. Listening becomes method, not luck.

04
Language and conversation

You learn to build messages that land, instead of arguments that bounce off.

05
Handling rejection

No, objection, price pressure, silence. You develop ways to deal with these without losing your own stability.

06
Mental routines

Repeatable sequences before the meeting, the call, the presentation. Routines give you footing precisely when a lot is riding on it.

07
Attitude

Towards your own role, your product, your customer. It is the part the other person notices first — long before your first argument.

Structure

Three levels that build on each other.

LEVEL 1

Understand

Compact learning units explain the psychological foundations of buying and selling behaviour: motivation, perception, learning, conditioning. You understand why the instruments work before you use them.

6 teaching units

LEVEL 2

Train

Exercises in self-reflection, goal setting and self-talk, together with the Mental-Psychological Interventions as audio files. A four-week follow-up programme keeps the material in motion.

LEVEL 3

The situation library gives you concrete suggestions for typical moments in sales and leadership — before the meeting, after the no, in the price negotiation.

workbook included

Situation library

For the moments when it tips.

Each situation comes with concrete prompts, exercises and suggested responses.

“The customer says it's too expensive.” “That's the third no today.” “The customer has gone quiet.” “It was going well — and then it tipped.” “I'm negotiating with someone more senior.” “I have to sell something I'm not convinced by.” “I need to get a project through internally.” “I'm prepared and still nervous.”

Selling is not a talent.
It is a skill.

And skills can be trained.

psyselling is a training and professional development offering in sales and communication psychology. It is not psychotherapy, not clinical psychological assessment or treatment, and not medical treatment. No particular commercial outcome is promised. More on this
